We are pleased to host Bianccha Philias for a one month residency with artch.<\/p>\n

For the past three years, artch host one artist for a paid creation based residency. Production time is still so rarely paid and it’s important to support this creative process of emerging artists. BIOGRAPHY<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bianccha Philias is a visual artist born in Haiti and based in Tiohti\u00e0:ke\/Montr\u00e9al. Her artistic practice is characterized by a diversified use of materials and techniques. Having completed a professional training in cabinetmaking, she utilizes her skills with wood and papermaking to explore the heterogeneity that she believes is the basis of her practice. Her interest in textile work allows for a deeper exploration of her ancestry and her migratory experiences. Bianccha aims to find meaning in our daily struggles, our ability to surpass them and the impact they may have on oneself.<\/span><\/p>\n
