The Practice of Critique: Discussions Around Ongoing Works.<\/p>\n

As part of the Plein Solo<\/em> project, a major initiative by artch that offers emerging artists the opportunity to present their very first solo exhibition across Quebec, we invite you to participate in the exercise of critique.<\/p>\n

In this unique session, artists will be challenged to present a body of ongoing work to a group of registered participants. The artists will bring physical works and projects in progress, fostering creative evolution in an open dialogue space.<\/p>\n

The audience will be encouraged to ask questions and share comments that will lead to meaningful conversations. The session will be guided by a series of preparatory questions distributed to the audience to help structure the discussion. This format allows not only the artists to test and refine their work but also participants to engage in an enriching experience.<\/p>\n

We believe that when conducted well, critique is a lever for enhancing artistic research and helping artists progress in their practice. This exercise is also a wonderful opportunity for the public to better understand the creative processes and for artists to receive varied and constructive feedback on their work.<\/p>\n
