In an open natural setting, Apocryphal Connections is a performance piece that intertwines music and dance, where the outdoor space becomes a living backdrop for artistic exploration. Stacey Désilier, with her expressive mastery of movement, delivers fluid and explosive contemporary dance, while Steven Doman creates an immersive soundscape using electronic musical textures and acoustic instruments.

The performance reflects on the invisible connections and unwritten narratives that link humans to their intimate environment. Désilier moves with grace and energy, embodying forgotten or marginalized stories, which Doman musically illustrates with alternating sounds of soothing harmonies and striking dissonances. Together, they create an emotional tension where each gesture and note reveals a new facet of this apocryphal connection. In Apocryphal Connections, boundaries evoke the beauty of human interactions and the stories we choose to discover or forget.

A cultural mediation session on the work will be offered at the end of the performance.
