Administrative permanence is a period of time during which the artist is present or provides an agent at the performance site for service necessity outside of effective work periods. Permanence offers a quick and automated emotional exchange service for the large public through an individual and personal approach.

Po B. K. Lomami (Pauline Batamu Kasiwa Lomami) is a self-taught interdisciplinary artist, art administrator, and artistic and public programmer. They are a Congo descendant from Belgium currently based in Tiohtià:ke-Mooniyang-Montreal.
Exploring Afrofuturist principles and methodologies, Lomami’s art practice revolves around the displacement of work, the becoming of their subjectivity, and the possible collective futures with black, crip, queer and Afrofeminist perspectives.
Lomami holds a bachelor’s degree (2011) and a master’s degree (2014) in Business Engineering from the University of Namur. They recently earned a Graduate Diploma in Communication Studies from Concordia University (2022) for which they were awarded the Pat and Bill Tierney Scholarship for academic excellence.
Lomami’s work has been presented at Massimadi Bruxelles (Belgium, 2015), Skylten (Sweden, 2016), Mile-End Gallery (Montreal, 2018), CDEx at UQÀM (Montreal, 2019), Bootleg by DOC! (New York, 2019), Casa del Popolo (Montreal, 2019), and Articule (Montreal, 2021). They self-published the zines LITTLE RADICAL SECRETS |1| (2016) and Montreal, 1985 (2018), with their texts also having been published in AssiégéEs (2015 et 2017), Q-zine (2017), and Vulnerable Paradoxes by PME Art (2021).
In fall 2022, Lomami will join the MFA program in Studio Arts – Intermedia at Concordia University for which they received the Dave McGary Memorial Award, the Concordia Fine Arts Scholarship, and the Desjardins Foundation Scholarship. They will also continue the Specialized Graduate Diploma program in Fine Arts and Creative Technologies at the University of Montreal.
