Practical guidelines : Producing an exhibition

Master exhibition production by developing your skills in project management, planning, and organizing artistic events!

Overview

This training program is designed for artists, curators, and project managers. Participants will gain skills in project management, planning, and organizing exhibitions, artistic events, and collaborative art projects. Beyond the technical skills of resource management and team coordination, the training offers artists an in-depth perspective on the exhibition ecosystem. It will help them better understand the mechanisms behind conception and production, grasp the interactions between various players (curators, technicians, communication professionals), and develop a comprehensive vision to support future collaborations.

Instructors

Sarah Kitzy Gineau-Delyon, director of artch and mentor

With a Master’s degree from the Sorbonne and certified as a tour guide with a specialization in contemporary art, Sarah knows how to write and speak about art. She worked for many years in Paris in cultural mediation at the Palais de Tokyo and the Laboratoire de la Création. A passionate dance enthusiast, she also coordinated two editions of Juste Debout (an international Hip-Hop dance event). After spending a year in Kuala Lumpur working at an art gallery, Sarah decided to settle in Montreal. A micro-collector, hyperactive, and passionate, she is a true Swiss Army knife in the visual arts sector. She has been the director of artch for the past four years.

Lise Fraïssé, project manager

Lise Fraïssé is a curator and cultural worker based in Montreal. She holds a Master’s degree in Art History from UQAM. With experience as a cultural mediator and project manager for various contemporary art festivals in Montreal, she has worked with both emerging and established artists. She is currently project manager for both Quebec and international activities at artch, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists and making art more accessible.
