Artch aims to identify, train, and create a career springboard for emerging professional visual artists. Artch is a Quebecois non-profit organization working to identify, support, train and promote emerging contemporary artists, as well as creating links between the art communities and the business world, new art collectors and the general public.
Artch aims to identify, train, and create a career springboard for emerging professional visual artists. Artch is a Quebecois non-profit organization working to identify, support, train and promote emerging contemporary artists, as well as creating links between the art communities and the business world, new art collectors and the general public. While having multiple active and ongoing projects, the Artch festival is at the heart of our system. Through this event, our renowned jury selects every year a new cohort or emerging artists to take under our wings. To support and prepare them well, alongside a high level training to propel their artistic career is offered to 23 chosen artists. They then exhibit their artwork in an outdoor temporary setting right in the middle of downtown Montreal. In addition to a variety of workshops, conferences and mediation, this event made for a vast public is here to democratize contemporary art and initiate people to collect. Alongside to this big event, Artch foster its community and promote the artworks of artists from previous cohorts through different projects such as Espace Sensible, a series of outdoor exhibitions dedications to promoting the work of emerging visual artists of Quebec, as well as many more related opportunities of exhibition, curation or of partnership with a variety of cultural, artistic or business organizations.
Existing
The Artch festival offers to new artists a chance to be introduced and take place within the artistic communities of Quebec. Beyond the festival, we create for them multiple side projects to let them exist fully throughout the province.
Radiating
With the help of many partners, Artch has produced over forthy events, exhibitions and activities. Those collaborations are deeply precious, as they promote our artist’s works within different environments all while supporting their artistic practices and evolution.
Emerging
Artch has conducted over 100 emerging artists to start their career through a specialized training offered by specialists, giving them a unique opportunity to become the entrepreneur of their art. This mentoring program guides them through themes such as copyright, the different art markets, financing artistic projects, communications, networking, etc.
